The Weaving Techniques
Brick Stitch: Used to create our highly structured, sculptural animal and bird profiles line-by-line.
Peyote Stitch: Utilized for patterns requiring a fluid, fabric-like drape that moves beautifully with the wearer.
Loom Weaving: Applied to our geometric and canvas-style geometric tapestries to ensure perfect alignment and flawless thread tension.
Our Premium Components
Glass Beads: Our primary medium utilizes genuine Miyuki Japanese size 11/0 cylinder beads. Unlike rounded seed beads, these are precision-cut glass tiles that lock together seamlessly to form a smooth, mosaic-like finish. For our select textured pieces, we source larger size 8/0 Czech glass round beads, prized for their rich, tactile contours and organic presence.
High-Performance Thread: All beadwork is woven using specialized, thermally bonded nylon thread. This advanced fiber resists fraying, stretching, and moisture degradation to ensure your wearable art retains its structural integrity over a lifetime of wear.
Weightless Feel: Despite their striking visual presence, our glass components are hollow and exceptionally lightweight. A standard statement pair weighs less than a single metal coin, offering a bold aesthetic completely free of earlobe pulling or fatigue.
Luxury Metal Hardware
Hand-Forged Ear Wires: Every single earring hook is individually hand-shaped, cut, and polished directly in our Seattle studio using premium wire.
Sourced Components: All connecting jump rings and accent findings are meticulously sourced from high-quality manufacturers to ensure structural security.
The Metals: We utilize premium 24k Gold-Filled and .925 Sterling Silver wire. Both options are 100% hypoallergenic, nickel-free, lead-free, and safe for highly sensitive ears.
Why We Choose Gold-Filled over Gold-Plated: Unlike cheap "gold-plated" jewelry—which uses a microscopically thin wash of gold paint that quickly rubs off or turns green—24k gold-filled features a thick, heavy layer of solid gold pressure-bonded over a core metal. It contains up to 100 times more gold than standard plating, meaning it will not chip, peel, or tarnish, and will last for years to come.
